Juanita (Armstrong) McClellan, 88, of McAlester, passed away on Thursday, December 14, 2023 at a local nursing center.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, December 20, 2023 at the Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church with Rev. Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be LB Owens, Brent Owens, Ryan Owens, Kevin Parker, Kyle Phillips, Dennis Nelms and Jeremy Jones.  Honorary pallbearers will be Toy Wingo and Jerry Cox.

Juanita was born on November 11, 1935 in Hanna, Oklahoma to Charlie and Cordia (Cox) Armstrong.  She graduated from Hanna High School in 1952.  She married Rev. Bill McClellan on December 5, 1952 in McAlester.  She retired from Zales Jewelry after 20 years.  After Zales, she worked as a Real Estate Agent for many years and also worked at the Masonic Temple.  She was a member of the Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church.

Survivors include a son, Randy McClellan; daughter and son-in-law, Deborah "Jan" and Philip Phillips; brother and sister-in-law, Larry and Karen Armstrong; grandchildren, Chris Phillips, Jeremiah Phillips, Heather and husband, Dennis Nelms; great-grandchildren, Kade Phillips, Kyle Phillips, Heaven Phillips, Delise Phillips and Serine Phillips; four great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews; and a lifelong friend, Mary Wingo.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Rev. Bill McClellan; parents, Charlie and Cordia Armstrong; sisters, Oma Walters and Sylvia Duke.
