Joseph Wayne Ledford, 60, of McAlester, passed away on Friday, June 21, 2024 at his home.

Graveside services will be Friday, June28, at 10:00 a.m. at Oak Hill Cemetery with Pastor Kenny Morrow officiating. Active pallbearers will be Mike Smith, Travis Terrell, Ron Richter, Ron Hollen, Jonathan O'Dell and Lance Jeffreys.  Honorary pallbearers will be Michael McFarland, Tommy Brewster, Jeffrey-John Daniels, Jason Ledford, Joshua Jarvis and Jacob Daniels.

Joseph was born on August 4, 1963 in McAlester, Oklahoma to John Wayne Ledford and Chassie Charlene (McFarland) Ledford. He married Ginney Rebecca Ledford on June 15, 2019 in McAlester. He enjoyed hunting, fishing, watching OU football, going to rock concerts and spending time with family and friends.  He was a member of Emmanuel Baptist Church in McAlester.

Survivors include his wife, Ginney Rebecca Ledford of the home; children, Jeffrey-John Daniels and wife, Sarah of McAlester, OK; Jason Ledford of McAlester, OK, Joshua Jarvis of McAlester, OK, Jessica Daniels of McAlester, OK, Jacob Daniels of McAlester, OK, Rebecca Bernal and husband Christian of Claremore, OK; grandchildren, Jaylynn Daniels, Emma Daniels and Jaden Ledford; brothers and sisters-in-law, Michael McFarland and Cheri Guay of McAlester, OK, Tommy and Rae Brewster of McAlester, OK, Travis Terrell of Savanna, OK and Mike Smith of McAlester, OK; sisters, Julie Duff of Krebs, OK, Gina Allen of Blocker, OK and Christie McFarland Christensen of Mesquite, NV, and a sister-in-law, Donna Burris and Jerry.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John Wayne Ledford and Chassie Charlene McFarland-Ledford; wife, Janet Jean Daniels-Ledford; children, Justin Wayne Ledford, Matthew Eldon Ray Jarvis and Ashley Nicole Justice.
