Joseph Alan Lawrence, 32, of McAlester, passed away Saturday, Jan. 7, at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.  The family will welcome friends for visitation on Wednesday, Jan. 11, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home from 5:00 to 6:00 p.m.  Funeral services will be Thursday, Jan. 12, at 4:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel, with Randall Miller officiating.  Honorary pallbearers are Justin Lawrence, Matthew and Shantel Lucas, Michael and Amy Pino, Jeremiah Golden, Michael Childress, Joshua Holder, Grandma Teen, Bobby and Samantha Harden, Amanda Rice, Jacob Lawrence, Jeff Rich, Jennifer Rich, Jarred Moore, Phillip Lawrence, and Penny Drinnon.

Joseph Lawrence was born on Aug. 4, 1990 in Ada to Mark Lawrence and Sheila (Golden) Lawrence.  He grew up in McAlester where he attended school.  He has been working in the oil and gas fields as an on-site geologist since 2012.  Joseph enjoyed being involved in Mixed Martial Arts and was always ready to take part in karaoke singing.

Joseph is survived by his children, Dayson, Ethena and Kaston; his mother, Sheila Lawrence; a brother and sister-in-law, Justin Lawrence and Sarah and their kids; his grandmother, Ernestine Golden; his girlfriend, Sami Casey; and numerous nieces, nephews, aunts, and uncles.  He was preceded in death by his father.
