Joseph John Fisk, 73, of Haileyville, passed away Thursday, Sept. 18, at McAlester Regional Health Center.  Arrangements for cremation have been completed, and the family will schedule a celebration service at Dow Lake in the near future.

Joseph Fisk was born on June 30, 1952 in Grand Rapids, Mich. To Orlen and Donna May (Wert) Fisk.  Joseph served in the U. S. Air Force during the Viet Nam war and earned an honorable discharge for his service.  Joseph was involved in avionics most of his adult life.  After completing his education, he taught for a short time, then began his own operation of installing avionic panels in private planes.  Joseph was very active in the community.  He served on the Haileyville City Council for several years, and was instrumental in the clean-up work at Dow Lake.

Joseph is survived by his wife, Ryndie Liess; children and step-children, Dustin Fisk, Wendy Fisk, Daniel Ryan Liess, and Katlynn Summers, and all their families; sisters, Val Ward and Vickie Foster; several nieces and nephews; and great niece and nephew, Sophie and Zachary.
