John H. O'Neal, Jr., 93, of McAlester, passed away on Friday, August 26, 2022 at his home.

He was born on July 26, 1929 in Chico, Texas to John H., Sr. and Nell (Lummus) O'Neal.  He was married to Gracie May Bullard in McAlester.  He was a member of Mekko Baptist Church, both McAlester Masonic Lodges, the Elks Club and Lions Club. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and woodworking.

He is survived by his wife, Gracie May O'Neal; son, Mark O'Neal; brother, Pat O'Neal; grandchildren, Jeff and Mandy Eldridge, Marty Isbell, Marlan Isbell and Mark Ethridge; great-grandchildren, Tracyn Eldridge, Ahni Ramsey, Miranda Fryer and Marvin Isbell; step-daughter, Susan D. Isbell.

He was preceded in death by his parents; daughter, Peggy and a sister, Peggy Spohn.

Memorial services will be 2:00 p.m. on Sunday, September 11, 2022 at the McAlester Scottish Rite Masonic Center with Rev. Gaylon Brannon officiating.  Masonic services provided by Mark Halyard.
