John James Letourneau, Sr., 79, of the McAlester/Hartshorne area, passed away on Saturday, July 23, 2022 at his home.

He was born on July 12, 1943 in Epping, New Hampshire to Francis Xavier and Roseanna (Allard) Letourneau.  He was retired from the oilfield and construction.  He served in the United States Navy during Vietnam and married Lillian Clements on July 14, 1990 in Southwick, Massachusetts.  His hobbies included classic autos, Allis Chalmer Tractors and antique tools of all kinds.  He was a member of the Blue Mountain Cruzers Car Club.

He is survived by his wife, Lillian Letourneau of the home; 2 sons and a daughter-in-law, John Letourneau, Jr. and wife, Kristi of College Station/Bryan, Texas and Jeffrey Letourneau of College Station/Bryan, Texas; step-children, Alwood Mitchell and Lori Mazella of Westfield, MA, Dawn Mitchell and Philip McCarthy of Russell, MA, Darlene and Edward Grove of Southwick, MA; 3 grandchildren, 4 step-grandchildren, 3 great-grandchildren and 1 step great-grandchild.

He was preceded in death by his parents; brothers, Frank, Henry, Roland, Lonnie and Wilfred; sisters, Rita, Marie, Alma, Lorraine and Pauline.

A viewing is scheduled for 10:00 a.m. on Monday, July 25, 2022 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.
