Jessie Drucilla "Drue" Saunier, passed from this life on July 14, 2022 peacefully in her home.  She was surrounded by her family.  Born January 30, 1934 in Enid to Henry and Jessie Lee (Larue) Meloy.  She graduated from Enid High School in 1952.  She married her high sweetheart, Robert M. Saunier, while a high school senior.  Their partnership spanned 72 years.  She chose to give up this life 5 weeks after Bob passed.  Drue and Bob shared an extraordinary life.  They traveled from east to west coast in their Spartan trailer while in the military before settling in McAlester to raise their 4 children.  In their business, Saunier Real Estate, they developed Redbud Acres and Green Meadows subdivisions, built over 600 homes, numerous apartments, motels and commercial properties.  Drue was the accountant, office manager, and broker for decades.  The company, now First Realty, is owned and managed by her son Randy Saunier.

In her retirement, she lived in Longtown Estates, Lake Eufaula.  She taught her children to love music, to read, dance, swim, sail, and water and snow ski.  She was a wonderful cook, coach, cheerleader, mother and grandmother.  Drue loved gardens and babies and dogs.

Drue is survived by her daughter, Pam Husky, son Steve Saunier, and son and daughter-in-law, Randy and Mary Saunier.  She has 7 granddaughters and their families, including 6 great grandchildren.  Many of these descendants are graced with her name.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her brothers, her husband, Bob, and a daughter, Debbie.

Mom, you are the heart of our family.  We love and miss you.
