Jerry Allen London, 84, of McAlester, passed away Tuesday, May 28, 2024 at his home with his family at his side.  Viewing will be Friday, May 31, until 8:00 p.m.at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.  Funeral services will be Saturday, June 1, at 10:00 a.m. at the Krebs First Baptist Church, with Pastor Ralph Suter officiating, assisted by Chaplains Louis Reynolds and Monte Busby.  Jerry's grandchildren will serve as pallbearers.  Honorary pallbearers are Richard Bowden, John Munholland, Donney Rowel, and Leonard Loudermilk.  Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery in McAlester, where he will be laid to rest beside the love of his life, his wife, LaJoy London, joined in marriage on January 20, 1961, now together forever in Heaven.

Jerry London was born on October 6, 1939 in Kinta to Gene and Julia Ann (Upton) London.  He grew up in McAlester and graduated from McAlester High School.  After getting married, Jerry went to barber school and opened his own barber shop on Grand Avenue in McAlester.  After barbering a few years, he went to work at the Naval Ammunition Depot, then became a machinist at Rockwell until his retirement.  He also served in the U. S. Army during the Vietnam War, and was a true patriot.  He was a long-time member of the Krebs First Baptist Church.  Jerry never stopped fighting the cancer, staying strong, showing his daughters resilience and perseverance, and always stayed strong in his Faith.

Jerry is survived by his 2 daughters and sons-in-law, Lori and Mark Linney and Sena and Steve Sparks; 4 grandchildren and spouses, Lindsey Kidd and Chris, Lesley Johnson and Corey, Amelia Cummings and Colton, Stephen Sparks and Torrie; great grandchildren, Linney, Autry, Stella, Vivian and Kasey.  He was preceded in death by his wife, LaJoy London; his parents; 6 brothers, Earl, Bobby, Wayne, James, Frank and Loyd; and 3 sisters, Loeva Stanton, Wanda Coplen and Pat Sumpter.
