Jean Wren, 85, of McAlester, passed away on Monday, May 24, 2021 at her home.
Funeral services will be 1:00 p.m. Friday, May 28 th at the Main and Oklahoma Church of Christ in McAlester with Kim Beshears officiating. Burial will be at McGee Cemetery in Stratford, Oklahoma. Active pallbearers will be Pete Baker, Randy Wren, Laramie Snell and Lance Wren. Honorary pallbearers will be Burke Williams and Danny Bridgewater.
She was born on December 17, 1935 in Stratford, Oklahoma to Arthur and Pearl (Davidson) Williams. She married Shi Wren on June 13, 1954. She enjoyed bowling, crafts, gardening, sewing and OU Sooner Women's basketball. She was an Auxiliary Aide at McAlester Regional Health Center with 5000 hours of volunteer service.
Survivors include her children and spouses, Pam and Rick Baker of Lindsay, OK; Doug and Marquieta Wren of Lindsay, OK, Mike and Laura Wren of Lindsay, OK and Missy and Jamey Corhn of Krebs, OK; grandchildren and spouses, Pete Baker of Gravette, AR; Randy and Tania Wren of Lindsay, OK, Jenni (Wren) and Jonathan Cook of Lindsay, OK, Lance Wren of Lindsay, OK, Laramie and Charlie Snell of Krebs, OK; nine great-grandchildren; she also leaves behind special friends, Betty Boyd, Margaret Murdaugh and Mae Bell.
She was preceded in death by her husband, Shi Wren; parents, Arthur and Pearl Williams; brothers, Kenneth, Junior and Jerry Williams; sister, Lucille Ballard and grandson, Royce Baker.
