Obituary

Jayne Ogden Lynch, 64, died Saturday, October 8, 2022, at her home on Ogden Ranch in Quinton, Oklahoma. The family will receive friends at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester from 2:00 to 4:00 p.m. on Friday, October 14, 2022. Funeral services will be Saturday, October 15, 2022, at the Quinton High School event center in Quinton at 1:00 p.m. A reception for all in attendance will follow at the Quinton High School Jayne Ogden Lynch Theatre. Pallbearers will be her sons, Blake, Bruce, and Bryan Lynch; her oldest grandson, Kydon Lynch; her twin brother, Wayne Ogden; and her dear friend, Bart Howell. Honorary Pallbearers are her brother Glenn Ogden; brothers in law Kenneth Brunson and Herman Doctor; her nephews Glenn Brunson, Jason Doctor, Jerry Ogden, Paul Ogden (deceased) and Lee Ogden (deceased); her friends Sammy and Jerry Hicks and Justin Brantley (deceased).

Jayne Lynch was born June 24, 1958, in McAlester to R.G. "Doc" and Clara Ellen Ogden. She graduated from Quinton High School and obtained her bachelor's degree from the University of Tulsa. She was a public school educator and Speech and Debate Coach for 40 years, with stints at Gans, Canadian, Checotah, Dickson and Quinton High Schools and Eastern Oklahoma State College. While at Quinton (as elsewhere), her Speech and Debate teams were among the most successful in the state.

More than anything, Jayne loved her children and grandchildren and was never happier than when she was with them.

Jayne is survived by her siblings and their spouses: Linda and Kenneth Brunson of Quinton, Glenn and Paula Ogden of Quinton, Sandy and Herman Doctor of Tulsa, and Wayne and Martha Ogden of Quinton; her children and their spouses: Blake and Amanda Lynch of McAlester, Bruce and Olivia Lynch of Gentry, Arkansas, and Bryan and Madeline Lynch of Norman; her grandchildren Kydon, Farren, Gifford, Finley, Theodore, and Anderson; and chosen family Bart Howell, Jeff, Leslie, Caden and Grace Williams, and Lucy, Jerry, Sammy, and Abby Hicks.

She was preceded in death by her parents, R.G. "Doc" Ogden and Clara Ellen Ogden; nephews Paul Ogden and Lee Ogden; great nieces Mackennon Ogden and Emma Ogden; and chosen family member Justin Brantley.
