Janel was born on Dec. 27, 1954 in Oklahoma City to Anno Andrew Vloedman and Linnea Ann (Sandburg) Vloedman-Callis. She spent her adolescence and younger adult life in Oklahoma City and Edmond, where she grew to become an ardent animal lover, which led her to work with animals all her life. As a young woman, Janel, lived and worked at a local Arabian horse ranch in Oklahoma City. She later became skilled in dog grooming, and worked at various animal clinics within the area. It was in Guthrie where she met Dr. Eric Wynn, and they married on July 22, 1989. They then moved to McAlester in 1994, and opened their own veterinary practice in Krebs, Wynn Animal Hospital. Although, Janel had many hobbies, raising and showing Great Danes was a love of hers, in which she became well known for. Another pastime she and her family enjoyed, was being involved in cattle livestock shows, where it kept them closely knit. But by far, her greatest joy in life was her family. She adored having big gatherings, with everyone there close together, "The more the merrier!", was always one of her many mottos.
Janel is survived by her husband, Dr. Eric Wynn of the home; her children, Jarrod William Stow of Poteau, Jordan Andrea Whiddon of McAlester, and Morgan Michelle Heaslet and husband Mark of McAlester; her grandchildren, Garrett Whiddon and Luke, Layton and Ledger Heaslet; 2 brothers, Andrew Vloedman and his wife Connie of Weatherford and Derk Vloedman of Clinton; a sister, Donna Moore and her husband Frank of Cromwell; her half-sister, Linda Vloedman-Parker; and many nieces and nephews. She was preceded in death by her parents.
