James Leonard Zummer, Jr., 72, of McAlester, passed away Wednesday, June 10, in McAlester.  Funeral services will be Saturday, June 13, at 11:00 a.m. at the Hugh Low Cemetery near Scipio, with Pastor Chip Lott officiating.

James Leonard Zummer ws born on Dec. 5, 1953 in McAlester to James Zummer, Sr. and Joyce Odessa (Barlow) Zummer.  James grew up here and worked in the maintenance department at Wal Mart.

James is survived by his brothers, Howard Zummer and wife Roberta, Troy Zummer and wife Tammy, and Keith Zummer; nephews, Kenny Zummer and Greg Zummer; a special cousin, Ronnie Rogers; and numerous other family and friends.  He was preceded n death by his parents and a sister and brother-in-law, Connie  Phillips and Monte Phillips.
