James Smith, 47, of Crowder, passed away on Monday, June 17, 2024 in Wabash, Indiana.

A visitation will be on Thursday from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Graveside services will be 10:00 a.m. on Friday, June 28, 2024 at Massey Cemetery near Crowder, Oklahoma. Burial will follow.

James was born on October 26, 1976 in McAlester, Oklahoma to Richard "Rick" and Barbara (Buck) Smith. He lived in Crowder, Oklahoma for many years.

Survivors include a son, Jeremiah Smith of Canadian, OK; daughter, Tess Buckner of Stuart, OK; son, Bret Bray of Quinton, OK and daughter, Kyela Smith of Kinta, OK; two grandchildren, Trisleigh Herandy and Racelynn Branum; mother, Barbara Smith; brothers and sisters-in-law, Trevor and Terri Smith of Hartshorne, OK, Tracy and Michelle Parrot; sisters and a brother-in-law, Rita Smith of Crowder, OK, Tricia and Peck Pemberton; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Richard "Rick" Smith.
