Obituary

Jaime Mistene Hail Horstman, 45, of Shawnee, OK, graduated to Heaven surrounded by her loving family on May 31, 2025, following a courageous battle with Ovarian Cancer.

Born on October 5, 1979, in McAlester, OK, Jaime was the daughter of Gary Micheal Hail (Vickie Lynn Hail) and Janet Marlene Fite. She graduated from Whitesboro High School in 1998 and later earned her license to practice nursing in 2022. Jaime had the opportunity to be the school nurse at Hartshorne Public Schools. One of Jaime's dreams was to become a nurse to help people in America and abroad. Jaime was in her second year of RN school when she was diagnosed with cancer. Even though Jaime had to step away from nursing school, she did not allow a diagnosis to stop her. Jaime took her NCLEX-PN while receiving chemotherapy treatments and was able to become an LPN. Jaime was able to follow that dream and help the students at Hartshorne Public Schools.

Jaime married the love of her life, Scott Horstman, in 1998. Together, they raised two children and enjoyed a life full of adventure and love. Scott and Jaime had a love story made for the movies. They loved each other unapologetically. They loved to travel, camp, attend sporting events, be with their kids, spend time with their church family, and do anything with their grand babies. Early in their married life, they were called into the ministry. For 10 years, they were youth pastors. They reached and touched numerous lives. They still have personal relationships with many of those lives they touched today. In 2010, they became lead pastors at HFA in Hartshorne, OK. There, they built incredible relationships and bonds in the church and the community, leading to a very successful ministry. In October of 2024, after 14 wonderful years, Scott and Jaime were called away from Hartshorne to lead the Tecumseh Pentecostal Church of God. Here, they have continued to do the only thing they know: build relationships and love people. Ministry has taken them to 4 continents and numerous countries. Jaime was a beacon of light and hope everywhere she went. Jaime inspired people with her relentless faith. Jaime made you feel loved in her presence. Jaime just loved Jesus more than normal people!

She is survived by her husband, Scott; her children, Sean and Maddie Horstman of Lexington, OK, and Jessah Horstman of Shawnee, OK; her grandchildren, Brady Micheal Horstman and Hayes Beckham Horstman (they were her pride and joy and call her their Maime); her mother, Janet Fite of McAlester, OK; her father, Gary and Vickie Hail of Talihina, OK; her grandmother, Vivian Fite of Hartshorne, OK; and many in-laws, aunts, uncles, nieces, nephews, and dear friends.

Jaime was preceded in death by her grandfather, J.D Fite; her grandmother, Ruby Eva Hail; her uncle, Copus Isom; her cousin, Jacolby Fite; and her mother-in-law, Sue Horstman.

Jaime's life will be celebrated at 10:00 AM on Saturday, June 7, at Hartshorne Elementary School Event Center. Family night will be June 6 at Hartshorne First Assembly of God. The family will receive friends from 6 pm until 8 pm.

Instead of flowers, we request you make donations for work in Ghana, Africa. This was Jaime's heart. Jaime loved the orphanages. Jaime loved to hold the babies and make them feel loved. We hope to do something very special in her honor. Donations can be made on the cash app $TheRevHorstman (Timothy Horstman)

Jaime's legacy of love, hope, and faith will endure through the many lives she touched. Her family, friends, and everyone who knew her will deeply miss her.
