Harold Wayne Rider, 77, a lifelong resident of McAlester, passed away on Monday, January 9, 2023 in Tulsa.

He was born on October 10, 1945 in Bunch, Oklahoma to Ezra Buster and Sophie Ester (Copeland) Rider. He served in the United States Air Force and married Norma Jean Conyer in November of 1971 in Tahlequah, Oklahoma. He enjoyed fishing, hunting and gardening.

He is survived by his wife, Norma Jean Rider of Tulsa, OK; children, Cynthia and Matt Wilkett of Tulsa, OK and Tracie Rider of Tulsa, OK; sisters and brothers-in-law, Ruth and Don Meadows of Savanna, OK, Gladys Wood of Del City, OK, Thelma Smith of McAlester, OK, Pauline and Mike Lewis of McAlester, OK.

He was preceded in death by his parents, E.B. and Sophie Rider; brothers, R.L. Rider, Jack Rider, Doyle Rider and Norman Rider.
