Gwenda Jean Jernigen, 63, of Hartshorne, passed away on Friday, May 21, 2021 at her home.

Memorial services will be 1:00 p.m. Thursday, May 27, 2021 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Rev. Lonnie Clunn officiating.

She was born on February 9, 1958 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Arlis Goodwin and Wanda Jean (Adams) Clunn.  She married Kevin Jernigen on May 26, 1996 in Ft. Smith, Arkansas.  She enjoyed the casino, game shows, and loved spending time with her kids and grandkids.

Survivors include her husband, Kevin Jernigen; three sons and daughters-in-law, Bradley Mattioda, Benny and Samantha Mattioda, Bobby and Shannon Mattioda; two daughters and sons-in-law, Johnna and Bray Killingsworth, Valerie and Andy Hisey; grandchildren, Tyler Mattioda, Jordan Mattioda, Colton Mattioda, Kaylee Mattioda, Benny Mattioda, Emily Mattioda, Preston Mattioda, Jadlyn Harris, Waylon Mattioda, Garrett Hisey, Tate Hisey, Sydney Killingsworth, Jack Killingsworth and Avery Killingsworth; three great-grandchildren; a sister and brother-in-law, Gloria and John Sirmans; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins.

She was preceded in death by her parents; two brothers, Arlis Glen Clunn and Galen Goodwin Clunn.
