Obituary

Gloria Nadine Mackey-Watson, 87, of Dow, passed away Thursday, June 28, in Hartshorne.  Funeral services will be Monday, Aug. 1, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in Hartshorne, officiated by Pastor Chadd Lemaster.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery.  Pallbearers are Eddie J ones, Buddy Jones, Colton Isaacs, Hunter Isaacs, Jaymen Jones and Zachary Jones. Honorary pallbearers are Danny Isaacs and Rodney Dobson.  Gloria requested, that in lieu of flowers, memorial donations be made to St. Jude's Children's Hospital.

Gloria Nadine Mackey-Watson was born on Feb. 7, 1935 in Wapanuka, Ok., the daughter of Charles and Hazel (Riley) Parker.  She married Clyde Mackey on Sept. 3, 1952.  They had a son, Charlie, and a daughter, Vickie.  In 1975, Clyde passed away from injuries sustained in a traffic accident.  In 1986 Gloria married Carlock Watson, and they made their home in Hartshorne until his death in 1996.  Gloria was a life-long resident of Pittsburg County.  She was a homemaker and also worked at Komar's for 20 years, then worked at Walnut Grove until she retired.  Gloria was a Christian and attended the Christian Church in Hartshorne.

Gloria is survived by her son, Charlie Mackey; a sister, Judy Dobson; grandchildren, Daisy Isaacs and Danny, Buddy Jones and Holly, Eddie Jones and Candy, Melissa McKee and Jerad, Jamee Lemaster and Chadd; a sister-in-law, Barbara Mackey and her son Chuck Mackey and daughter Lisa Mackey Bradley; numerous great grandchildren and their families; and 7 great great grandchildren; and numerous nieces and nephews.  Gloria always said her legacy would live through her grandchildren, great grandchildren, and great great grandchildren.  She was preceded in death by her parents, her first husband, Clyde, and her second husband, Carlock; a daughter, Vickie Jones; a brother, Bob Parker; and a great grandson, Gunner White.
