Obituary

Glenn Curtis Ogden, 69, of Quinton, passed away Friday, Jan. 12, at McAlester Regional Health Center.  The family will welcome friends for visitation on Wednesday, Jan. 17, at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m.  Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, Jan. 18, at the Featherston Cemetery at 11:00 a.m., with Red Coleman officiating.  Pallbearers are Wayne Ogden, Jake Ogden, Clay Ogden, Kendall Trickett, Dee Gray, and Roger Spicer.  Honorary pallbearers are Kenneth Brunson, Herman Doctor, Ken Bacorn, Jerry Ogden, Kent Allen, Duane Allen, and Terry Allen.

Glenn Ogden was born on Feb. 10, 1954 in McAlester to Rudolph Glenn Ogden and Clara Ellen (Wallace) Ogden.  He grew up in Quinton, where he graduated from Quinton High School, and has lived there all his life.  He married Paula (Allen) Ogden on April 21, 1973 in Blocker.  Being a part of a ranching family, Glenn has been involved in ranching all his life.  He also worked in the oil and gas fields for several years as a well pumper, and was a regular worker at the McAlester Stockyards.  Glenn has also been active in rodeos, specifically roping, all his life.  Glenn was a long-time member of the Church of Christ.

Glenn is survived by his wife of 50 years, Paula Ogden; a son and daughter-in-law, Jerry and Valerie Ogden, and a daughter and son-in-law, Lisa and Kendall Trickett; grandchildren, Preston Ogden, Madison Ogden, Jake Ogden, Clay Ogden, Annika Ogden, Gabe Ogden, Kanyon Trickett, and Kimber Trickett; great grandchildren, Caylee Ogden, Berklee Ogden, Charlee Ogden, and Dakyn Ogden; a brother and sister-in-law, Wayne and Martha Ogden; 2 sisters and brothers-in-law, Linda and Kenneth Brunson, and Sandy and Herman Doctor; and a daughter-in-law, Monica Ogden Crawford.  He was preceded in death by his parents, R. G. and Ellen Ogden; 2 sons, Paul Ogden and Lee Ogden; 2 granddaughters, Mackennon Ogden and Emma Ogden; and a sister, Jayne Lynch.
