Glenn Dee Colley, 70, of Haywood, passed away Friday, June 16, at his home near Haywood, surrounded by his family.  The family will host a one-time viewing on Monday, June 19, from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  No other services are planned at this time.

Glenn was born on February 2, 1953 in McAlester to Dee Ward "Tub" Colley and Willa Dean (Dunn) Colley.  He attended Ashland Elementary School through his primary years, then transferred to Stuart School, where he graduated in 1971.  He then attended East Central State University and earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Sociology and Psychology in 1975.  He returned to East Central in 1983 and earned a Master's Degree in Sociology and Psychology.  Glenn worked for the Oklahoma State Department of Mental Health at Carl Albert Mental Health Center in McAlester, as Director of Day Treatment.  Upon retiring, he owned and operated Colley Trucking with his 2 sons, Shawn and Shane.  Glenn was an avid reader of all types of genres, and was an accomplished woodworker.  He and Carolyn Steinsiek were married on May 21, 1971 in Haywood.  He was a life member of the Nazarene faith.

Glenn is survived by his wife, Carolyn of the home; sons and daughters-in-law, Shawn and Heather Colley of Haywood, and Shane and Nikki Colley of McAlester; grandsons, Chance Colley, Shooter Colley Waylon Colley, and granddaughter, Loren Dee Colley, all of Haywood; 2 brothers, Terry Colley and his daughter Heather, of Oklahoma City, and Ronald Kent Colley and his daughter Hanna of Ashland; and a host of cousins.  He was preceded in death by his parents, Dee and Willa Colley, and his father-in-law, Carl Hall Steinsiek, Sr.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Southeast Hospice of McAlester Regional Health Center.  Thanks to Diana Linscott, Chaplain Lewis, and nurse's aide Mary, for your kindness and compassion.  A very special thanks to Pat Crawford, RN, for her help; she always went beyond what we expected to help our loved one be comfortable during his last days.  Your kindness will never be forgotten.
