Glenda Kay Kerby, age 66, of McAlester, died peacefully in her home on October 28, 2021.

Glenda was born in McAlester on October 2, 1955 to Markus Dee Hamilton, Jr., J.D. as everyone knew him, and Margaret Hamilton.  She graduated from Eastern Oklahoma State College in Wilburton and the 4 years in Durant with classes in Special Education, graduating top of her class, Summa Cum Laude.  She retired from teaching after many years and students taught.

She married Anthony Lee "Tony" Cunningham on October 3, 1971 in Krebs, Oklahoma.  She was a member of First Baptist Church in McAlester.  They were in love until he passed in August of 1996.  She later married Gerald "Ace" Kerby on April 15, 1997.

Survivors include her children Anthony Lee II "Duce" and Amy Cunningham, Mark and Jenny Cunningham, Emmitt Kerby and Warren Kerby; brother and sister-in-law, Glen and Donna Hamilton and their son Jason Hamilton; grandchildren, Jessica Cunningham and Jacob Cunningham.

She was preceded in death by her parents, J.D. and Margaret Hamilton; 1st husband, Anthony Lee "Tony" Cunningham; 2 ^nd husband, Gerald "Ace" Kerby; and father-in-law, Donald Lee Cunningham.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. on Tuesday, November 9, 2021 at Adamson Cemetery.  She will be laid to rest next to her 1 ^st husband.
