Gene Jenkins, 83, of Hartshorne, passed away Sunday, August 24, 2025 at his home in Hartshorne.  No services are planned at this time.

Gene Jenkins was born on June 21, 1942 in Chadwick, MO. to Basel and Hazel (Allen) Jenkins.  After finishing school, Gene worked as a truck driver.  He married Johnnye (Rich) Jenkins in 2009 and they lived in south Texas.  They loved to travel, and they often went between Texas and Arizona, where they also had living arrangements.  They moved to Hartshorne from Arizona in 2019.

Gene is survived by his wife, Johnnye (Rich) Jenkins; his children, Jerrie Palmer, Lori Friend, Tammy Windsor and her husband Eddie; several grandchildren and great grandchildren; and a sister, Sue Davidson.  He was preceded in death by his parents, a daughter, Mona, and a brother, Warren.
