Obituary

Gary Culbertson was called home on Monday, October 11, 2021.
Those that knew him best would describe him as a kind man, always willing to help, who had the biggest heart, and who loved his children, grandchildren and great-grandchildren fiercely. Gary will always be remembered for the twinkle in his eye and warmth of his laugh.
Gary was born on October 25, 1946 in Covington, Oklahoma to his parents Charles and Donna Culbertson. He grew up in Douglas, Oklahoma along with his three brothers. He later graduated from Enid High School.
He proudly served his country during Vietnam in the US Navy from 1964 to 1967 aboard the USS Sutter County where he earned with distinction the Vietnamese Service Medal.
Gary married the love of his life, Karen, on July 20, 1968, in Enid.
He is survived by his children, Michael Culbertson and Traci Howard Culbertson; his grandchildren Amanda and Bobby Keser, Austin Culbertson, Alicia and Jesse Brown, and Zachary Culbertson; his great-grandchildren Silas Keser, Aspyn Brown, Soren Keser, and Josie Brown; and his brothers, Roy and Sherrie Culbertson, and Marion and Connie Culbertson.
He is preceded in death by his wife, Karen Culbertson; great-granddaughter, Skylyn Keser; his parents Charles and Donna Culbertson; and his brother, Darrell Culbertson.
Gary requested to be cremated. His ashes will be interred at the family plot in Covington.
