Franklin Gene Babb, 49, of McAlester, passed away Monday, March 18, 2024 in Stuart.  Memorial services are scheduled for Saturday, March 23, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel n McAlester.  Viewing will be Friday, March 22 and Saturday morning.

Gene Babb was born on Jan. 16, 1975 in Enid, Oklahoma to Raymond Babb, Sr. and Roberta Sue Babb.  He attended high school in Stillwater, then later moved to Holdenville, where he met his future wife, Amanda Brown.  They were married on October 1, 2004, and later moved to McAlester, where Gene enjoyed spending with his family, fishing, and working on his truck.

Gene is survived by his wife, Amanda Babb; 7 children, Jessica Jones and husband Bradley, Casey Babb and wife Camber, Dakota Babb and wife Paige, Dalton Babb and fiancé Tabitha, Kylie Poole and husband Travis, Nathen Brown, and Tapanga Babb; 13 grandchildren; his mother, Roberta Sue Babb; 4 sisters, Pam Fomby, Blinda Schroeder, Kathy Breen and husband Cheyenne, Patricia Chism and husband Jason; 3 brothers, David Dennis and wife Daray, Raymond Babb, Jr. and wife Rachel, and Rodney  Penner and wife Cindy; a sister-in-law, Paige (Tucker) Suter and husband Alec Suter.  He was preceded in death by his father, Raymond Babb, Sr., Sister, Gail Wilson; mother-in-law, Sondra Tucker; and his grandparents.
