Eugene Adolphus Fent, born October 25, 1931 and lived until May 22, 2022.  His parents were AC and Minnie Fent of Luther, Oklahoma.  He is the oldest of 6 children, siblings are Alice, Bill, Wanda, Raymond and Ernest.

He attended high school at Wellston, Oklahoma.  He joined the United States Marines in 1951 and served in the Korean War.  He worked various jobs across the U.S. from Florida to California.  He met and married Janet Sue Cain on February 4, 1959 and they were married for 63 years.

Eugene was father to 5 boys, Greg, Jerry, Russell, Clay and David.  Grandfather to 8 grandchildren, great-grandfather to 12 and great-great-grandfather to 1.

After living in Oklahoma, Nevada, California and Arizona, he moved back to Calvin in 1971 and worked around the community in various roles, being a carpenter to many.  He served on the local school board and was President of the Young Farmers Association.

He loved to laugh, he loved to tell jokes, he loved playing games, cards, dominos, solitaire, and most of all….He loved his Family.

Memorial services will be 1:30 p.m. Friday, May 27, 2022 at First Baptist Church in Calvin, Oklahoma.
