Eloise "Lois" Maxwell, 82, of McAlester, passed away on Sunday, September 25, 2022 at her home.

Memorial services will be 12:00 p.m. on Wednesday, September 28, 2022 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Chaplain Clyde Hess officiating.

Eloise "Lois" was born on June 11, 1940 in Caney, Oklahoma to Grady S. and Winona (Dollarhide) Golden.  She was married to Buddy M. Alford and he preceded her in death.  She later married James Maxwell.  She enjoyed fishing, bingo and dancing.

She is survived by her children, Sherri Alford Miller of McAlester, OK, Marvin Keith Alford of Trinity, TX and Regina Lynne Alford of Ft. Worth, TX; grandson, William Tyler Alford; brothers, Tom Golden and J.B. Golden; sisters, Linda Hutchens, Liz Horton, Minnie Watson and Sharon Foster.

She was preceded in death by her parents; brothers, A.J. Golden, Carrol Ray Golden, Grady Lee Golden, James Frank Golden, Donnie Hamilton and Charles Vaughn; sisters, Rose James and Betty Toler.
