Elizabeth Ann (Hawkins)Weeks, 65, of Hartshorne, Oklahoma passed away on Saturday, November 5, 2022 at Beare Manor surrounded by her beloved family. Memorial services will be held Saturday, November 19, 2022 at 2pm at Brumley Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, Ok, with Zac Hawkins officiating.
Elizabeth was born on May 10, 1957 in Miami, Oklahoma to Rueben and Calista (Gress) Hawkins. Elizabeth was the youngest of 5 children. She grew up throughout Oklahoma and Arkansas in her youth and completed Jr. High and High School in McAlester, Ok. Elizabeth loved to sing and dance. She was active in Golden Montague, Vica, Concert Choir and Drama. Elizabeth was a co-captain of the McAlester Drill and Rifle team, called the Buffies. She also retained employment at McAlester Clinic through high school. Elizabeth attended Oklahoma State University for one year, before coming back to McAlester. Elizabeth married Paul "Gibby" Beshear December 22, 1975. They welcomed her only child, Calista "Callie" Beshear on April 27, 1979. Upon her divorce, Elizabeth decided to enroll at McAlester Vocational School to pursue a nursing career. She graduated from Vo-Tech with her practical nursing license. She was an LPN for over 30 years. Elizabeth worked many positions within her nursing career. She cared greatly for her patients. Elizabeth loved being a "Mimi" to her three grandchildren, Drew, Elijah and Cooper. She welcomed her granddaughter-in-law, Kaytlynn, into the family circle. Drew and Kaytlynn blessed Mimi with a beautiful baby boy, Kingston.
Elizabeth is survived by her only child, Calista "Callie" Allison (and fiancé, Benjamin Engel); grandsons, Drew Womack (and wife, Kaytlynn), Elijah Allison, and Cooper Allison; great grandson, Kingston Womack; Sister, Rheba Baker; Brother, Phillip Hawkins (and wife, Susan); Brother, Larry "Joe" Hawkins (and wife, Ruthie); and numerous nieces and nephews; She was preceded in death by her father, Rueben Hawkins; son-in-law, Larry Allison; brother, Michael Hawkins; brother in law, Mike Baker.
