Elizabeth "Betty" Wade, 86, of McAlester, passed away on Wednesday, April 15, 2026 at a local nursing center.

Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Wednesday, April 22, 2026 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home chapel in McAlester. Burial will follow at Oak Hill Cemetery. Pallbearers will be Chris Duff, Levi Brown, Jonathan Lovelady, Jeremy Leflore, Darren Leflore, and Nathan Sturdevant.

Betty was born on June 29, 1939 in Leonardville, Kansas to Leo Michael and Florence (Herrmann) Smith. She married Arthur L. Wade on December 3, 1961 in Denver, Colorado. She worked for The Bank N.A. for 26 years, retiring in 2006. She was a dedicated member of First Baptist Church in McAlester.

Survivors include her children, Mike Wade (Jackie) of Longmont, CO, Diana Wade Sturdevant (Nathan) of Tannehill, OK, and Tommy Wade of Krebs, OK; grandchildren, Christopher Duff (Sarah,) Levi Brown, Jonathan Lovelady (Britney), Kyle Wade, Evan Hatridge, Darren Leflore, Jeremy Leflore, and Ashley Leflore; 12 great-grandchildren and 1 great-great-granddaughter.

She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Arthur Wade; infant son, Arthur Wade, Jr.; brothers, Jerome Smith, Cletus Smith, Patrick Smith, and Harlan Smith; and brother-in-law, Morris Wade.
