Elizabeth Powell, 79, of McAlester, passed away on Monday, March 28, 2022 in McAlester.

Graveside services will be 2:00 p.m. Thursday, March 31, 2022 at Bache-Red Oak Cemetery.  Pallbearers will be J.W. Hammonds, Ben Collier, Colten Powell, Ty Cochrane, Wendell Henry, Richard Sexton and Benny Powell.

She was born on February 15, 1943 in McAlester Oklahoma to Edgar Allen and Mary Elizabeth (Moore) Smith.  She married Jimmy Wade Powell on January 25, 1962 in McAlester.  She enjoyed spending time with her grandchildren.

She is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Jyme Beth Powell and John Kloeckler; son and daughter-in-law, Steven and Alyssa Powell; grandchildren and spouses, J.W. and Lindsey Hammonds, Colten and Amanda Powell, Ty Cochrane, Sara and Ben Collier and Charity Turner; great-grandchildren, Kollyns Hammonds, Beckett Collier, River Peters, Sloan Hammonds and Vivienne Collier; brothers-in-law, Benny Powell and Ed Clark.

She was preceded in death by her husband; parents; sister, Carol Clark; brother, Al Smith and sister-in-law, Rita Powell.
