Doyal Wayne Rowland was born April 28th 1960 in Wilburton Oklahoma. He attended school in Wilburton where he graduated in 1978. Doyal Wayne worked along side his Father Doyal Ray since he was a child. His children and grandchildren were the lights of his life. He loved quarter mile stretches of road and always talked about his love of drag racing. He was addicted to working almost to a fault. He always worked hard for his family and did everything he could to make sure they had what they wanted.

Doyal Wayne is survived by his three daughters: Crissy Cooper and husband Josh Cooper, their daughters Jordan, Kayla, Cheyanne, *Audrey, and son Trevor Cooper. Marilee Hackler and husband Dillon Hackler, their daughters Hunter and Heidi Hackler. Sisely Rowland and daughter Lynnix Coleman. His sister Sheryl Clawson and her husband Tom Clawson and their children. His brothers Anthony Rowland and his wife Melissa and their children, and Steve Rowland and his wife Chris, and their children. Numerous nieces and nephews, cousins, friends and his best friend Bryan Davidson.

*Audrey Cooper was Poppy's "best buddy," they had a very close relationship. They cherished their time "working" together.

He was preceded in death by his mother Betty Kay Collins Rowland and his father Doyal Ray Rowland.

The family would like to express their gratitude to Southeast Regional Hospital, Walnut Grove Living Center, and Southeast Hospice for taking the best care of Doyal Wayne towards the last 2 weeks.

A special thanks to the Collins and Taylor families for coming together with a combined generous donation. Cairo & Shawna Rosenow for the beautiful reception in honor of our father. Along with countless other donations from friends and family, your donations are most appreciated.

Viewing will be on Tuesday from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.  Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Wednesday, July 12, 2023 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester.  Burial will follow at Centerpoint Cemetery in Wilburton, Oklahoma.
