Donald Raymond Testa 87, formally of McAlester, passed away April 14, 2024 in Checotah, Oklahoma.

Don (Donnie as he was known to many) was born March 25, 1937, in Richville, Oklahoma to Bosco and Rosalie (Cerrito) Testa. He married Grace Allen Southard on July 5,1958 in Poteau, Oklahoma. They remained married until Grace passed in July 2009.

He worked at Mecco and the McAlester Naval Ammunition Plant (currently the Army Ammunition Plant.) He also worked for the Stigler Livestock Auction after moving his family to Stigler in 1973. He and Grace moved back to McAlester in the late 70's. Don then purchased a couple of trucks and began hauling coal, sand, gravel and other products. Don always had cattle and horses and in his later years he primarily tended his cattle and horses along with goats, during this time he also baled hay for himself as well as custom hay baling. Don was a hard working man but usually had ample time for talking with folks and storytelling. He was a man that was always ready to help his family along with most anyone that needed help.

Survivors include a son and daughter-in-law, Don Cris Testa and wife Linda of Checotah, OK; one grandson, two great grandsons, several step grandchildren, one sister, Margrette Carol of Tulsa, OK, three sisters-in-law, Linda Testa of McAlester, OK, Clara Garcia of Hartshorne, OK, Alice Day and husband of Douglas, GA, along with many nieces and nephews.

Memorial Services will be held on Friday, May 17, 2024 at 1:00pm at the Richville Baptist Church.
