Donald Ray "Donnie" Dawson, Jr., 60, of Bache, died Monday, Aug. 23, at McAlester Regional Health Center. Graveside funeral services will be held on Thursday, Aug. 26, at 10:00 a.m. at the Bache-Red Oak Cemetery in Bache with Cole Wilson officiating.

Donald Ray Dawson, Jr. was born on Nov. 27, 1960 in McAlester to Donald Ray Dawson, Sr. and Barbara Alice (Short) Dawson.  He attended and graduated from Haileyville Schools, then went on the welding school.  He became an accomplished welder working in the oil and gas fields and coal mining operations.  In his spare time, he used his welding skills to do metal working and build things out of metal.  He also liked to hunt and fish.

Donald is survived by his mother, Barbara Dawson, and 2 sons, Cody Dawson and wife Breanna and Colby Dawson.  He was preceded in death by his father.
