Delores Marie (Walters) Brooks, 77, of Krebs, passed away Saturday, July 17, in Muskogee.  Funeral services will be Wednesday, July 21, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel, with Rev. Jamie Kirkpatrick officiating.  Honorary pallbearers will be Brent Owens, Eric Owens, Ryan Owens, Shane Doyle, Steve Walters, and Steve Cox.  The family will welcome friends for visitation on Tuesday at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home from 6:00 to 7:00 p.m.

Delores Brooks was born on April 21, 1944 in Eufaula to LB Walters and Oma Geneva (Armstrong) Walters.  She grew up in the Eufaula/Hanna area and graduated from Eufaula High School.  She was married to Carl Eugene Brooks, who preceded her in death.  Delores worked as a loan officer for Commerce Finance for over 30 years.  In her spare-time she enjoyed listening to bluegrass music and loved to spend time in the mountains whenever she could.  She loved people and could never say no to a friend in need.  She was also a devoted member of the Fellowship Free Will Baptist Church.

Delores is survived by a grandson, Floyd "Bubba" Brooks; a great granddaughter, Amelia Brooks; sisters and brothers-in-law, Redia Doyle and Eugene, Linda Cox and Raymond, and Brenda Polansky and Tom; a daughter-in-law, Debra Schoggins; and many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her husband, Carl Brooks; a son, Mark Brooks; her parents; and her step-mom, Rosetta Walters.
