Debra Gail Mitchell, 71, of Kiowa, passed away Wednesday, March 20, at her home in Kiowa.  The family will welcome friends for visitation on Friday, March 22, from 5:00 to 7:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  Funeral services are scheduled for Saturday, March 23, at 10:00 a.m. at the First Assembly of God Church in Savanna, with Pastor Bobby Wingo officiating.  Burial will follow at Memory Gardens Memorial Park in McAlester.

Debra Mitchell was born on March 13, 1953 in Santa Paula, California.  She grew up there and married James Mitchell in August of 1973.  They lived in California, except for a year in North Dakota, then moved to Oklahoma in 1978.  Debra worked at Komar's as a packager for over 26 years.  In her spare-time she liked to help James with yard work and gardening.  But her true joy was being a grandmother, she loved spending time with all her grandchildren.  She was a member of the First Assembly of God Church in Savanna.

Debra is survived by her husband, Jim Mitchell; a daughter and son-in-law, Rachel and Dustin Ayers; a son and daughter-in-law, William Cole and Jennifer Mitchell; grandchildren, Preston Mitchell, Jordan Mitchell, McKenzie Mitchell, Gage Thomason, Madison Ayers, and Emma Ayers; a sister, Joyce Kelly; and 2 brothers, Raymond Padgett and James Robbins.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Raymond Padgett and Donna Padgett, and a sister, Karen Welch.
