In Loving Memory of Debora Sue Lawson

May 27, 1960 – July 30, 2026

With profound sadness and heavy hearts, we announce the passing of Debora (Debbie) Sue Lawson, age 66, who peacefully entered the arms of Jesus on July 30, 2026, after a courageous battle with pancreatic cancer.

Debbie was born on May 27, 1960, in Springville, New York, to Bobbie & Sylvia Martin. On February 15, 1980, she married the love of her life, Ronald Lawson, in Tulsa, Oklahoma. Together they built a life centered on family and unconditional love. Their greatest blessing was raising their two daughters, Chelsey and Angie, who were the center of Debbie's world. As the years passed, that love only grew with the arrival of her beloved grandchildren.

More than any title she ever held, Debbie cherished being "Grammy and Num Num" Her grandchildren were the light of her life, and she loved them with her whole heart. Whether she was spending time with them, celebrating their accomplishments, or simply making memories together, nothing brought her greater joy.

For 23 years, Debbie dedicated her life to education, serving as a special education teacher at Stuart Public Schools. She believed every child deserved patience, encouragement, and someone who believed in them. Throughout her career, she touched countless students, families, and fellow educators, leaving behind a legacy of kindness, compassion, and unwavering dedication.

Debbie welcomed everyone with open arms, offered encouragement when it was needed most, and made people feel loved simply by being herself. Her strength, grace, and unwavering love carried her through life's greatest challenges, inspiring all who had the privilege of knowing her.

She is survived by her devoted husband of 46 years, Ronald Lawson of Arpelar, Oklahoma; her daughters, Chelsey Lawson of McKinney, Texas, and Angie Lawson of Arpelar, Oklahoma; her beloved grandchildren, Jonathan Allen Jr., Rinlee Little, and Maren Little; her brothers, Robert and wife LeeAnn Martin of Lake City, Florida, and Michael and wife Barb Martin of Springville, New York; along with many nieces, nephews, extended family members, dear friends, former students, and colleagues whose lives she deeply impacted.

She was preceded in death by her Grandparents, her mother, Sylvia Martin; her father, Bobbie Martin; and her sister, Bobbi Anderson.

Though our hearts are broken, we find comfort knowing that Debbie's suffering has ended and that she is whole again. Her love, gentle spirit, and the countless lives she touched will continue to live on through her family and everyone blessed to know her.

"Well done, good and faithful servant." – Matthew 25:23

Forever loved. Forever missed. Forever in our hearts.
