David Andrew Thomas, Jr., 36, of McAlester, passed away Wednesday, May 24, 2023 at his home.  The family will plan a Celebration of Life service at a later date.

David Thomas, Jr. was born on December 15, 1986 in McAlester to David Thomas, Sr. and Leslie Gay   Thomas.  He grew up here and graduated from McAlester High School in 2004.  David had been working as a landscaper in the area for a few years.  He had a wonderful personality and was always kind and polite.  He enjoyed going hunting and fishing and loved hanging out with his friends, and especially with his kids and family, and his dog.  He also loved watching his Philadelphia Eagles play football on TV.  And he wouldn't miss helping and watching his 2 daughters play sports.  He was their Number One fan.

David is survived by his 2 daughters, June Thomas and Payzlee Thomas; his parents, David and Gay Thomas; siblings, Chris Fields and spouse Jimmy, Lance Fields, and Nicole Stufflebean and spouse Colby; aunts and uncles, Jane Walters, Ann Parrott, Dr. Bert Thomas, and Nick Carris; nieces and nephews, Blaine Fields, Kennady Fields, Taylor and Alexis Stufflebean; and cousins, Niki Thomas Bond, Juliet Parrott-Merrill, and Dr. Christine Thomas.  He was preceded in death by his grandparents, Albert and Marjorie Thomas, L.C. and Alice Kelley, and Jeannie Carris.
