David Blake Neighbors

David Blake Neighbors, age 60, of Hartshorne, passed away Thursday, October 15, 2026 at his home in Hartshorne. Viewing will take place on Sunday, October 25th from 1:00 to 8:00 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home jn Hartshorne. Funeral services are set for Monday, October 26th at 11:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne, with Pastor Aaron Williams officiating. Burial will follow at Elm Park Cemetery in Hartshorne.

David Neighbors was born on December 19, 1965 in McAlester to Roy Neighbors and Mary Beth (McClendon) Neighbors. David grew up in Hartshorne and graduated from Hartshorne High School in 1984. He then attended East Central University in Ada and received his Bachelor’s of Criminal Justice Degree. After graduating he entered the Oklahoma Highway Patrol Academy, and graduated in 1989. He retired from the Highway Patrol in 2000, and then worked with several automobile dealerships as a financial officer. In his spare-time, David liked to go fishing. He was also a big OU football fan and a fan of the Dallas Cowboys.

David is survived by his mother, Mary Neighbors; his children, LaShonda Davis and her son Adrian, Patrice Stuart and husband Stephen and their children Taylan Smartt, Kamyla Stuart and Faith Stuart; Kalyn Neighbors, and Brandon Neighbors; and extended family of aunts, uncles and cousins. He was preceded in death by his father, Roy Neighbors; a brother, Steven Neighbors; his maternal grandparents, Bettye McClendon and George McClendon; and his paternal grandparents, Curtis and Rosetta Neighbors.
