David Lee Hines was born on January 29, 1968 in Davenport, Iowa.  His parents are Melvin Cloice Hines, Sr. and Frances Virginia (Henry) Manning.

He had lived in Iowa most of his life and came to McAlester in 2011.  David worked as a welder, mainly in the auto repair industry.

He was a motorcycle enthusiast and loved riding his own Harley-Davidson cycle.

David is survived by his mother, Frances Manning; father, Melvin Cloice Hines, Sr.; his children, Grace, Tia, Chad, and Ryan; grandchildren, Caitlyn and Jordan; brothers, Mel, Jr., Lonnie and Lenny; and a sister, Chris.
