Darren Hollis Stacey, 52, of Scipio, passed away Feb. 19, 2022 in Tulsa.  A memorial service is scheduled for Saturday, Feb. 26, at 4:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel., with Matthew Heath-Fitzgerald officiating.

Darren Hollis Stacey was born on Feb. 11, 1970 in McAlester, the son of Elbert Stacey, Sr. and Cassie Stacey.  He attended Indianola and Stuart schools, then graduated from McAlester High School in 1989.  He lived most of his adult life in Grand Prairie, Tx.  He worked as a flight attendant for Braniff International and Continental Airlines before moving back to McAlester in 2015.  While living here he has worked at Lowe's and at the Pepsi Cola Bottling Company of McAlester.

Darren is survived by his mother, Cassie Stacey of Scipio; siblings, Sherry and Randy Rogers of Choctaw, Della Cooper of Haywood, Teresa Stacey of Sherman, Tx., Cecelia and Steve Myres of Scipio, Elissia and Gary Whitfield of McAlester, William Stacey of Scipio, Charlotte and Ralph Suter of Krebs, Bob Stacey of New Mexico, Terry Stacey, Sr. of Greenville, Tx., Carol and Jeff Sowell of Oak Point, Tx., and Pam and Gene Landeres of Whitesboro, Tx.  He was preceded in death by his husband, Joseph "Sully" Sullivan and his father, Elbert Stacey, Sr.
