Obituary

Darlene Dalpoas, 99, formerly of Hartshorne, passed away on Sunday, May 2, 2021 in Crowder.

Funeral services will be 2:00 p.m. Wednesday, May 5, 2021 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in Hartshorne with Greg Scherman officiating.  Burial will follow at Holy Rosary Cemetery in Hartshorne.  Pallbearers will be Joe Oley, Rick Oley, Victor Dalpoas, Jr., Terry Dalpoas, Jr., Michael Dalpoas and Greg Scherman.  Honorary pallbearers will be David Oley and her great-grandsons.

She was born on March 10, 1922 in Hartshorne, Oklahoma to Sherman and Fathie (Cremeans) Victor.  She married Raymond "Sonny" Dalpoas on November 4, 1947 in Wilburton, Oklahoma.  Her and Sonny owned and operated Sonny's Grocery and Texaco for 12 years.  She was on a bowling team for 15 years, traveling all over the United States.  She was a member of the Holy Rosary Catholic Church in Hartshorne.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Sonny; son, Bobby Joe Dalpoas, Sr.; mother, Fathie Painter; father, Sherman Victor; grandson, Bobby Dalpoas, Jr.; three sisters, Gladys, Goldie and Jessie.

Survivors include a daughter, Annabel Oley of McAlester; two sons and daughters-in-law, Victor Ray and Brenda Dalpoas of Crowder, OK, Terry Wayne and Diana Dalpoas of Hartshorne, OK; fourteen grandchildren; numerous great-grandchildren and great-great-grandchildren; numerous nieces and nephews.
