Cheryl Lee James, 71, of Hartshorne, passed away Wednesday, November 27, 2024 in McAlester.  Funeral services will be held on Thursday, December 5, at 10:00 a.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.

Cheryl Lee James was born on January 17, 1953 in Talihina, Oklahoma to Paul Lee Willis and Hazel Lucille (Kline) Willis.  She grew up in Hartshorne and graduated from Hartshorne High School.     As a young adult she worked as a nurse's aide for a few years, as time went on, she devoted her time to her family as mother and pastor's wife.  She did, though, have a penchant for shopping, and was good at it.

Cheryl is survived by a daughter and son-in-law, Shelly and Bruce Rosenberger; grandchildren, Taylor Daniels, Kade Rosenberger, Samantha Brown, Abigail Johnson, John Morgan, Noah Daniels, Gracane Daniels, and Treyce Morgan; numerous great grandchildren; and sisters, Mary Whiting and husband Jim, Gwen Morrow and husband Bill, and Deborah Arnold.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Johnny James; 2 daughters and a son-in-law, Megan Daniels, and Dana and John Morgan.
