Charles Lee Long, 73, of Krebs, passed away Friday, February 7, 2025 in Bartlesville.
Funeral services will be held on Friday, February 14, at 2:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester. Burial will be at Crowder Cemetery.
Charles Long was born on December 13, 1951 in Enid, Oklahoma to Eli and Alta Pearl (Rogers) Long. He has lived in the McAlester and Krebs area all his adult life. He was married to Connie (Chrysler) Long, and had received his Bachelor's Degree. Charles had a couple of careers in his life. He was a career military man, serving in the U. S. Navy, and then the U. S. Army (and reserves) for over 20 years. He then leaned on his formal education and worked as an electrical engineer, fixing and programming computers for different purposes. He had also spent short stints at Wal-Mart, Lowes, and Simonton Windows. In his spare-time he enjoyed hunting, camping and fishing. He was also a motorcycle enthusiast and enjoyed riding bikes, especially dirt bikes, and was also skilled at repairing them.
Charles is survived by his wife, Connie Long; a daughter, Naomi Alta Lou (Long) McCallie and husband David; granddaughters, Naomi Renae Long, Sierra Estwick and her husband LaRyan and Alexis Long; brothers, Ernest Long and Kenneth Long; sisters Jackie Long and Mary Lott and her husband Keith, a special cousin, Dale Brown.
He was preceded in death by his parents; a daughter, Angela Renae Long, his two sons Charles Earl Long and Clifton Elias Long, and brother Roy Long,
