Charles Robert Grippando, 81, of Krebs, OK, passed away on Sunday, November 23, 2025 at a local nursing center.

Family will receive friends on Sunday, November 30th from 3:00 to 5:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Services will be 10:00 a.m. on Monday, December 1, 2025 at Brumley-Mills Chapel in McAlester with Pastor Brent Crandell officiating. Burial will be at Wesley Cemetery. Active pallbearers will be Bill Goodson, Kevin Moss, Brian Watson, Chad Beall, Thomas Grippando, and Brent Crandell. Honorary pallbearers will be Ed Goodson, Joe Younger, Michael Maisano, Nikey Fassino, and Tom Watson.

Charles was born on February 16, 1944 in Krebs, Oklahoma to Basilio and Thelma (Wooldridge) Grippando. He was a Sergeant in the U.S. Army and served in the Vietnam War. He married Wyna Glasscock on December 14, 1990 in Eureka Springs, Arkansas. He was a carpenter and was a cabinet builder. He was a member of the Redeeming Grace Church. He enjoyed hunting, fishing and camping.

Survivors include two stepdaughters, Ginger Reynolds and Rhonda Rowland; two stepsons, Greg McGee and Russell McGee; one brother, Tom Grippando; three sisters, Dorothy Byington, Norma Jean Ferrell, and Sylvia Lewis; numerous grandchildren, nieces, nephews and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his wife, Wyna Grippando; son, Robert Grippando; parents, Basilio and Thelma Grippando; six brothers and five sisters.
