Carolyn Sue "Suzie" Wilkins, 77, of McAlester, passed away Friday, December 22, 2023 at her home with family at her side.  Cremation arrangements have been entrusted to Brumley-Mills Funeral Home.  There will be visitation at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home all day Friday, December 29, and Saturday until 12:00 p.m., with the family welcoming friends from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. on Friday evening.  The family will have a private Life Celebration for Suzie at a later date.

Carolyn Sue "Suzie" Wilkins was born on February 7, 1946 in McAllen, Texas to J. B. Orr and Lillian (Garrison) Orr.  She grew up in Crowder where she graduated high school.  Suzie worked in the Pittsburg County Commissioner's office for over 20 years and was First Deputy for County Commissioner's.  Family was very important to Suzie, and she loved spending time with everyone.  She also had an eye for home décor and enjoyed decorating her home.

Suzie is survived by her husband, Brad Alan Wilkins; children, Lisa Renee Russell and husband Ermon, Gregory Gene Owens and wife Amy; step-children, Amber Michelle Moore, and Brady Wayne Wilkins and wife Desiree; grandchildren, Rowdy Russell and wife, Charity, Coty Russell, Grant and Anna Owens, Halen and Aubrey Moore, Branden and Isabella Wilkins; and great grandchildren, Reese and Tinley Russell: many nieces and nephews.  She was preceded in death by her parents, J. B. and Lillian Orr, and a sister, Nedra Tinker.
