Bruce Roach, 61, of McAlester, passed away on Tuesday, June 28, 2022 at McAlester Regional Health Center.

Bruce was born on November 27, 1960 in Kansas City, Missouri to Bonnie Jean Smith.  He graduated from McAlester High School in 1980.  He served in the United States Army during the Persian Gulf War and retired as Sergeant.  He was a roofer, a cattle farmer and a member of the American Legion.  He enjoyed fishing, drawing, woodworking and tools.

He is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Brandon Allen and Alli Roach of Tuttle, OK; daughter, Kelsie Roach of Moore, OK; sisters, Cheryl Ellefson of Collinsville, OK, Renee Shoe of Missouri and Robin Adams of Kansas City, MO; uncle, Byron Powers of Michigan; numerous nieces, nephews and cousins; Don and Jerri Hutchings, Eugene and Linda Perry.

He was preceded in death by his mom, Bonnie Smith; grandmother, Margaret Onken and great-grandmother, Gladys Sullivan.

Family will receive friends on Friday, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester.  Services are scheduled for 10:00 a.m. Saturday, July 2, 2022 at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home Chapel in McAlester with Brother Dan Denny officiating.  Burial will follow at Tannehill Cemetery.  Active pallbearers will be members of the 445 ^th Division in McAlester and the 180 ^th Engineers in Okemah, OK.  Honorary pallbearers will be Don Hutchings, Jerry Hutchings, Byron Powers, Eugene Perry and Nathan Cato.
