Bonnie L. Friday, 81, of Haileyville, passed away Wednesday, January 10, 2024 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.  A memorial service will be held on Tuesday, January 23, at 1:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.

Bonnie Friday was born on January 23, 1942 in Talihina, Oklahoma. She lived in California much of her adult life where she worked as an industrial inspector for the Bechtel Corporation for many years.  When she "retired", she returned to Haileyville, and was still active with the company on an "as needed" basis for several more years.  Bonnie was an excellent seamstress and enjoyed doing embroidery.  One of her highlights of the week was going to the library to join in on senior exercise day.

Bonnie is survived by her children, Wanda Nunez, Lee Ragains, and Troy Friday; her grandchildren, Juan Nunez, Vanessa Nunez, Travis Ragains, Jennifer Friday, and Daniel Friday; her great grandchildren, J. D. Nunez, Evelyn Nunez, and Ernie Nunez; and a brother and 3 sisters, Stevie Capitano, Stephanie Smallwood, Gloria Meek, and Tracy Christian.  She was preceded in death by her parents, Jack Russell and Annie (Sam) Capitano; a son, Elliott Friday; 2 sisters, Shirley Kitchell, and Coleen Capitano; and her loving companion, John Purvis.
