Bobby Freddie Smith, 58, of Hartshorne, took his final trip home on March 31st 2026.

Bobby was born January 4th 1968 in Morenci, Arizona to John Jacob and Sadie Elizabeth (Wilson) Smith. He lived in Arizona until 1982 before moving to Oklahoma Hartshorne area. He started early in the medical field where he really enjoyed helping others before pursuing his trucking career, when he obtained his CDL and began his over the road driving.

Bobby loved the freedom of the open road and the sound of a diesel engine purring in the night, it's where he found comfort, it was home away from home. 10-4 wheels are up to heaven.

Survivors include a son, Phillip Smith and wife, Beatrice Smith of Hartshorne, OK; daughter, Heather LaQuay and husband Lonny Collier of Kiowa, OK; grandchildren, Madalyne Smith, Bailey Smith, Domanick Swing, and Conner Collier; brother, Benny Smith of Hartshorne, OK; many family and friends.

He was preceded in death by his parents, John and Sadie Smith; brother, Jobe Smith; and sister, Elizabeth Smith.

A memorial service will be held on Friday, April 10, at 6:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester, with Jeff Little officiating.
