Billy Dale Spears, 59, of Hartshorne, passed away on Saturday, May 28, 2022 at St. Francis Hospital in Tulsa.

He was born on November 10, 1962 in McAlester to Ronnie and Charlene (Reeves) Spears.  He was married to Marilyn Carrion and worked 34 years with the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority and retired as superintendent.  He was a good father, musician and loved hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Marilyn Carrion; two sons and daughters-in-law, Tyler and Ashley Spears, Blane Dale and Destiny Spears; step-son, Garrett Carrion; mother, Charlene Spears; brother, Clint Spears; step-brother and sister, Stacy and Tracy Barker; grandchildren, Macie Spears, Braleigh Spears and Braven Daniel Spears; nephews, Ryan, Sean and Andy Spears; honorary daughter and spouse, Taryn and Justin Biggs; lifelong best friend, Mike O'Kelley; numerous other nephews, nieces and cousins.

He was preceded in death by his father, Ronnie Spears; grandparents, Norris and Nellie Spears, Curtis and Lois Reeves; step-son, Christopher B. Carrion.

Family will receive friends on Wednesday from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in Hartshorne.  Services will be 2:00 p.m. on Thursday, June 2, 2022 at the Hartshorne Elementary School Gymnasium.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne.  Active pallbearers will be Benny Wester, Mike O'Kelley, Josh Mabry, Clint Moody, Rick Grivette and Jerry Wilkerson.  Honorary pallbearers will be the Employees of the Oklahoma Turnpike Authority, Bill Morgan III, Garrett Carrion and Billy Dale's nephews.
