Billy Ray Keeling, 41, of Hartshorne, passed away January 17, 2022 in Springdale, Arkansas. The family will welcome friends for visitation on Monday, January 24, from 6:00 to 8:00 p.m. at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home in McAlester. Funeral services will be 10:00 a.m. on Tuesday, January 25 at Life Church with Pastor Terren Anderson officiating. Burial will follow at Savanna Cemetery. Pallbearers are Chris Keeling, Daniel Harper, Jasper Ligon, Jason Roberts, Jay Benson, Keaton Lewis, Trevor Ouellette, and Keith Ouelette. Honorary pallbearers will be John Mitchell, Brian Thompson, Billy Staples, Marshall Drake, Jeffery Drake, William Drake, Danny Drake, The Savanna Volunteer Fire Department, and his Army Ammunition Plant family.
Billy Ray Keeling was born on December 17, 1980 in McAlester to Donald Keeling and Betty Drake. He grew up in the Savanna and McAlester areas and graduated from McAlester High School in 2000. He and Melody Louise Doshier were married on December 30, 2004. He worked in the oil fields as a driller for over 9 years and was currently working at the Army Ammunition Plant as a production worker, so he could spend more time with his family. He was also a member of the Savanna Volunteer Fire Department. Billy loved his family and friends and enjoyed hanging out with them, especially spending time and doing things with his children. He was also known as the family jokester. He loved playing jokes on friends and family and could take a joke as well as dish it out. Billy and his family had been attending Life Church.
Billy is survived by his wife, Melody Keeling; his children, Ryder Jamar Keeling and Morgan Louise Keeling; his mother, Betty Drake; his step-mother, Donna Keeling; a brother, Chris Keeling; and a step-brother and step-sister, Jeff Holden and Sarah Fallis. Brothers-in-law and sisters-in-law include Jay and Christina Benson, Jason Roberts and Tiffany Doshier-Roberts, Jasper and Missy Ligon; numerous very loved nieces and nephews; and numerous very close aunts, uncles, cousins and friends. He was preceded in death by his father, Donald Keeling; his in-laws, RB and Anita Doshier; his grandparents; and all five of the precious blessings that God gave them that earned their wings before they got to raise them.
