Billy L. Emberton, 74, of Haileyville, passed away on Monday, November 28, 2022 at his home.

Billy was born on March 19, 1948 in Gowen, Oklahoma to Tom and Virginia (Tassart) Emberton. He served in the United States Army during Vietnam.  He married Lynette Morgan on April 19, 2002 in Fort smith, Arkansas.  He enjoyed hunting and fishing.

Survivors include his wife, Lynette Emberton; children, Jim Capers, Cal Mitchell and Charli Conrad; numerous grandchildren.

He was preceded in death by his son, Jimmy Emberton and his parents.

Graveside services are scheduled for 2:00 p.m. on Friday, December 2, 2022 at the Elmwood Cemetery Pavilion in Hartshorne with military honors provided by the VFW Post #1098.  Burial will follow at Elmwood Cemetery in Hartshorne.  Pallbearers are Jim Capers, Cal Mitchell, Waylon Mitchell, Kyzer Emberton, Travis Conrad, Wyatt Capers and Jonathan Konsure.
