Betty "Jeanie" Georgena Franklin, 70, of Stuart, formerly of Savanna, passed away Tuesday, November 2, at her home.  The family will welcome friends at Brumley-Mills Funeral Home on Saturday from 12:00 to 1:30 p.m., then the Eastern Star services will begin at 2:00 p.m.  Burial will follow at Chambers Cemetery.

Betty Georgena Franklin was born on May 4, 1951 in McAlester to George Dugger and Betty (Mason) Dugger.  She grew up in Savanna and lived there virtually all her life until moving to the Ashland area, about 5 years ago.  She had graduated from Savanna High School in 1969.  She married Buford Franklin on March 12, 1970 in Savanna.  He preceded her in death in 2020.  Betty worked as a bookkeeper for the local Kentucky Fried Chicken Corporation for 39 years, retiring just this year.  Her life revolved around her duties with Eastern Star. At home she enjoyed crocheting and was also a licensed beautician.

Betty is survived by her children, Charolette Franklin, Crystal Franklin, and Justin Franklin; her grandchildren, Dakota Franklin, Cheyann Cross, Benton Cross, Levi Franklin, Tony Franklin, Amelia Franklin-Moore and husband Travis, Richard Franklin, Angel Franklin, Tyler Franklin, Anna Franklin, and Ariel Franklin; great grandchildren, Aiden, Aurora, Killian and Kadence; 2 brothers, Victor Dugger and Keith Dugger and his wife Katie; a brother-in-law, Steve Kimery; and a sister-in-law, Tammy Dugger.  She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; a sister, Pam Kimery; and 2 brothers, Curtis Dugger and David Dugger.
